Last week thousands of companies gathered in Hannover for the largest and most influential technology trade show in the world, CeBIT. Hundreds of thousands of visitors were in attendance and had the opportunity to see the latest and greatest in technological innovation for business.
This year’s partner country was Japan, and 120 companies from Japan were in attendance. faizod was posted in hall 5 with a number of other companies from Saxony.
First thing on Monday faizod received a visit from Stanislaw Tillich, the Minister President of Saxony.
On Tuesday, Olaf Stöwer was a guest speaker at a podium discussion on Blockchain hosted by the Fraunhofer Society and on Wednesday Torsten Stein participated in the topic forum “SECURITY!” at the Saxony stand.
Blockchain was a hot topic at CeBIT, with much discussion around the prospect of it being a disruptive technology.
At CeBIT faizod presented the first showcase of Charity Chain, a system for charitable giving based on Hyperledger technology. This distributed ledger technology has until now been used in the financial sector, in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, and in the food and machine building sectors to traceably document steps in processes.
With the help of Hyperledger, faizod was able to develop and present a model for handling the use of donations across the globe using Blockchain. Hyperledger makes donating transparent; the donor is always able to see what happens with their donation.
